Whether you're leaving an apartment near downtown Medford, a rental in Central Point or a house in Ashland, the walk-through is the same story: the landlord looks in the oven, runs a finger along a baseboard, and checks the corners of the bathroom. Work through this list and very little should be left to argue about.
Kitchen
- Inside the oven and under the drip pans — the most common deposit deduction.
- Inside the refrigerator: shelves, drawers, door seals. Empty it first.
- Inside the microwave and dishwasher.
- Inside every cabinet and drawer, faces and shelves, once emptied.
- Countertops, backsplash, sink and faucet descaled.
- Range hood filter and appliance exteriors, including the sides.
Bathrooms
- Shower and tub scrubbed, including grout lines and door tracks.
- Toilet cleaned all the way around the base and behind.
- Mirror, vanity, sink and hardware.
- Exhaust fan cover dusted.
- Inside drawers and under the sink.
Bedrooms, living areas and hallways
- Inside closets: shelves wiped, rods dusted, floors vacuumed.
- Baseboards and door frames, all rooms.
- Light switches, outlet covers and door hardware.
- Windowsills, tracks and frames.
- Ceiling fans and reachable light fixtures.
- Floors vacuumed and mopped, edges included.
Easy to forget in a Rogue Valley rental
- Cobwebs in corners and on the porch ceiling.
- The interior side of the garage entry door and frame.
- Summer dust on blinds and vent covers.
- Wood-stove or fireplace surrounds if you used them over winter.
What a professional move-out clean costs here
Our Move-In / Move-Out Clean follows the selected package checklist. Typical-room, one-time examples are $406 for 2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom and $514 for 3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms, including shared home spaces, supplies, equipment and package travel. Your selected scope, date and extras determine the final fixed total. Empty or occupied homes both work; optional or excluded tasks on the checklist above are not automatically included.
A few things aren't part of a cleaning job anywhere: patching nail holes, painting, carpet shampooing and repairs. Line those up separately before your walk-through.
Timing
